4 Day Immersion Isle of Man
YOU’VE BEEN TRAINED TO PERFORM UNDER LOAD, OVERRIDE DISCOMFORT, AND KEEP MOVING WHEN OTHERS WOULD STOP.
That conditioning builds success in the modern world. It can also quietly destroy your inner peace. When you’re always “on,” your mind never fully rests and your body stays braced even when life is “fine.” Overtime, this will erode your health and your mental health.
Four days to reclaim your ground, literally and existentially.

What Is Actually Happening
YOUR BODY HAS LEARNED TO TREAT
LIFE AS AN EMERGENCY
The modern world keeps you switched on. Notifications, deadlines, optimisations, constant demands. Over time, your system learns one setting: alert. Even when nothing urgent is happening, you stay braced. Sleep goes light. Attention scatters. Small things feel heavier than they should.
This isn’t weakness, it’s conditioning. Conditioning most of us are told is required to succeed.
But, without any space to reflect, you can go years without asking the questions that actually matter: What am I building my life toward? What’s worth protecting? What is this all for?
If any of this feels familiar, we should talk:
Your baseline is stuck “on.” Even when the day is normal, your body stays tight. Sleep is restless. Attention scatters. Small things feel louder than they should. This isn’t a character flaw. It’s learned readiness that never fully switches off.
You’re overriding your own signals. You push through fatigue. You ignore tension. You keep moving because you can. The cost is that you stop noticing what you actually need, until the body forces the issue.
You have no space to ask “what for?” No steady practice for reflection, no time to clear the noise, no framework for what matters. Just endless output and the feeling that you’re living someone else’s script.
The Approach

THIS IS TRAINING IN HOW TO BE HUMAN IN A WORLD THAT WANTS TO MAKE YOU INTO A MACHINE
Not therapy. Not a retreat. Not another optimisation system.
This is about reclaiming your ground: learning to show up calm, present, and clear in a world that stays chaotic.
The entry point is the body, because that’s where your state lives first.
Four days to reset your baseline, settle attention, and return to presence. Through martial-derived body training. Through walking ancient land. Through lived philosophical dialogue that deals with real questions: What am I building my life toward? What’s worth protecting? How do I stay human in the modern world?
This is a reawakening of old human skills: breathing under load, posture and balance, attention under pressure, recovery after intensity, and walking to clear the noise. No gadgets. No new identity. Just capacities you already have, reawakened until they’re reliable.
Small group (1 to 4 max) on the Isle of Man. Sessions are designed to unhook from gadgets, so there is more contact with what’s real.
Daily Structure
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
This isn't scheduled chaos. Each day follows the same rhythm, creating space for your nervous system to recognize: this is real. This is sustainable. This is how presence builds.
Morning • 2 Hours
BASELINE RESET
Body-first training drawn from martial arts practice. Breath under load. Balance, posture and centering. Learning to notice when you spike, and how to return to calm quickly.
This isn’t exercise for fitness or performance. It’s training for composure you can access when things get loud.
Afternoon • 3-4 Hours
PHILOSOPHY AS LIVED PRACTICE
We walk the island. Prehistoric stone circles older than Rome. Sea paths. Woodland trails. And we talk—not academic philosophy, but applied wisdom. How the Stoics actually dealt with chaos. What Heidegger understood about being versus doing. Questions that matter: What are you building your life toward? What's worth protecting? How do you maintain ground when everything's designed to scatter you?
Evening • Solo Time
INTEGRATION THROUGH SOLITUDE
Time alone with prompts that work. Not journaling for performance or productivity. Reflection that reveals something true. Space to process what's coming up. Silence when you need it. This is where embodied knowing starts to surface again.
What You Will Actually Gain
YOU WON'T LEAVE AN ENLIGHTENED MONK
Four days isn’t magic. But it’s enough to interrupt the pattern and reinstall the fundamentals: calm, clarity, recovery, and presence. Here's what's realistic:
A baseline that stops treating everything like a threat.
You learn how to downshift when life gets loud. Not theory, reflex. Calm you can access under pressure.
Trust in your own signals again.
Hunger, fatigue, desire, meaning. Not as weaknesses to override, but as information you can actually use.
Clarity about the ground you stand on.
Not abstract values you think you should have, but lived clarity: what matters, what doesn’t, and where you won’t compromise.
A sustainable practice
Simple protocols you will keep, because they’re grounded in real life: short baseline resets, walking as an anchor, and reflection that doesn’t turn into self-analysis.

Meet Your Guide
DR. RODNEY KING ('Coach')
Founder of Mindfulᴱ Warrior Immersion
I spent decades teaching operators and executives how to perform under pressure. Special forces units. Elite policing teams. High-stakes leaders who couldn't afford to break.
In 2022, I faced a serious health diagnosis that forced a hard reset. That season changed how I understand strength. It also clarified my work: helping people return to a calmer baseline without becoming passive, detached, or “soft.”
The Mindful Warrior immersion is the simplest, grounded, practical expression of that work. Three tools, one aim: martial arts practice to bring you back into your body, baseline training to stop living in permanent alert, and lived philosophy to restore clarity and direction. No spiritual gloss. No forced sharing. No theatre. Just real work, done simply.
